We are hoping to drape Tiverton Town Hall with a huge outdoor display of crocheted and knitted poppies this November, and we need your help!
To get you started, we have put together free kits available from us in-store, containing red and black yarn, crochet pattern and further instructions.
These will be available free whilst stocks last, but please get in contact to check availability before making a special trip.
Sadly we are unable to post kits out, but you are welcome to use your own yarn if you are able. A PDF crochet pattern is available to download below.
We are asking for knitted and crochet poppies in red and black ACRYLIC yarn in DK weight.
We ask that you don't use buttons for the centres (black yarn only) as we need to be able to attach them through the centre. Any shade of red and brand of yarn is fine!
Any pattern suitable for DK yarn is fine - as long as they end up at a finished size of approx. 8-12cm
Our suggested crochet pattern is available as a PDF below,
We don't have our own knitting pattern, but the Royal British Legion website has a couple of good options free to download!
All poppies must reach us by Friday 3rd October 2025 at the latest, but the sooner the better so we can get cracking on attaching them all!
Finished Poppies can be dropped back to us in the retail shop during opening hours, or at our security lodge opposite which is manned 24/4
Alternatively, they can be posted back to us at -
